Lost in Legoland

Legos, legos all around. Legos lost, legos found. This post is soooooo overdue, I don't know where to begin. Would you believe me if I told you I was lost in Legoland? Well, if you've seen my Instagram lately, then you can see that Legos have indeed been a theme of my early summer.

Ms. Marvel Lego

Great tools for three dimensional thinking, these modern lego designs are detailed down to the facial expressions and keep kiddos busy with determination. Some of our favorites include Legos Creator 3 in 1 Poolside HolidayJurassic World Lego Collection and of course the Lego Super Heroes sets, which feature my personal pick Ms. Marvel, herself.

5 Things I ❤️ to Wear to Work

BrihgtWhites PC

"Work, work, work, work, work!" (in my Rhianna voice 🎤🎤🎤) Opening up a dental practice has seriously put me on my drill and fill routine. Whether, I'm providing patient care, figuring out dental insurance plans, or working on marketing strategies with Hubby, I feel like every minute of the workday is allocated to the mission and my little bit of free time has vanished. Poof! When it comes to making my time easier to manage, I've streamlined not only my yogurt and banana breakfast, but also my commute, my dental materials, and especially my wardrobe. Here are the 5 things that I'm wearing on the job:

1. My new favorite scrubs are from WW Revolution by Cherokee. They are super comfy, excellent quality and equipped with enough pockets for all your necessities (i.e. lip gloss, post-its, etc.) Did I mention that they come in a variety of 17 different colors?!

2. I've bragged before about my five-minute eye glam and my jewelry game is also on point with the timeless choice of pearl studs. They don't interfere with my clinical gear and can easily transition from the gym or onto preschool pick-up.

3. It's no secret that dentistry is hands on all day long and keeping a clean field makes moisturizing with Eucerin Eczema Relief a step I simply can't afford to skip. The gentle non-greasy oatmeal enriched formula is so soothing. This item is a must have.

4. Running shoes? Indeed. If you are looking for a reason to choose dentistry as a profession, let the line of Women's Nike Flex be an incentive. Happy feet, happy life.

5. Finally, my iWatch Series 3 is "Always On Time" (in my Ashanti Voice 🎤🎤🎤). Light on my wrist, this brilliant device not only ensures that I don't miss a call, but is synced with my favorite tunes and literally keeps me on my toes.

Ok, gotta run! Lolz. I would ❤️ to hear what makes your wardrobe "work!" Happy Valentine's Day.

M&M Sugar Cookies | Merry Christmas

Santa Clause is coming to town! This year, my son has been eagerly anticipating Christmas! He's been on his best behavior all season long, even highlighted his gift list with fun as well as educational value, and of course wanted to leave Santa a batch of cookies for his long journey from the North Pole.

M&M Sugar Cookies

My dad bakes the best cookies and one of my patients gave me a great idea to make them kid fun by adding M&Ms to the mix!

  1. 1 cup unsalted butter
  2. 3 cups flour
  3. 1 teaspoon salt
  4. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  5. ¼ cup granulated sugar
  6. 1 cup brown sugar
  7. 1 egg
  8. 2 tablespoons milk
  9. 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  10. 1 cup M&M candies (my Dad always suggests semisweet chocolate, so we used Dark Chocolate)

  1. Melt the butter and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Mix together the flour, salt and baking soda in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  3. Beat together the melted butter and both sugars on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Whisk together the egg, milk and vanilla extract in small bowl. Reduce the mixer speed to low and slowly add the egg mixture. Mix until thoroughly combined, about 30 seconds.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  7. Scoop the dough into 1½-ounce portions onto parchment-lined half sheet pans, 6-9 cookies per sheet. (My son tried to make cookie cutter designs but were had little success!)
  8. Place 4-5 M&Ms on each cookie.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through. Remove from the oven. Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Each of our M&M Sugar Cookies were unique! However, there were crumbs in front of the fireplace, so I think Santa enjoyed the batch! Happy Holidays!
